Garden décor and outdoor ornaments attracted stronger bidding than many people might expect, proving that decorative landscaping pieces continue to have an enthusiastic following.
Sterling silver, gold, and scrap metal items also remained consistently strong. While collectors certainly play a role, higher precious metal values continue to provide a solid floor under many items, making them attractive to both collectors and bullion-minded buyers.
Perhaps the biggest surprise was how often everyday household items found enthusiastic bidders. Vintage office equipment, industrial carts, architectural salvage, tools, advertising pieces, and unusual décor all attracted competitive bidding. Items many families might assume have little value often found the right buyer when exposed to a large audience.
That's one of the reasons online estate auctions continue to surprise sellers. The market frequently assigns value where owners least expect it.
