Seller Pricing FAQs

¹As a seller, how can I set it up to be free?
BidRush charges just 12% of the sold price. Sellers are also responsible for Stripe's payment processing fees (2.9% of bidder invoice + $0.30 per invoice). Since you keep the Buyer's Premium, you can charge a 15% Buyer's Premium to offset the majority of BidRush and Stripe fees to Buyers. View Seller Experience
How do I become a seller on BidRush?
BidRush is a curated marketplace. Sellers join by invitation or by applying to set up a BidRush store. This approach helps maintain a consistent, organized, and trusted auction experience. Once approved, sellers may continue launching auctions as long as marketplace guidelines are followed. Approval to sell does not constitute endorsement or guarantee. Sellers operate independently under BidRush’s terms and conditions. Apply to Join
Is there a setup fee, monthly fee, or minimum number of items to list?
No. There are no setup fees, no monthly subscriptions, and no minimum item requirements to sell on BidRush. Whether you're listing a single item or running a full estate auction, you only pay when something sells.
Do I need special tools or training to start?
No. BidRush is fully self-serve and easy to use. You can launch an auction in under an hour. Tutorials
Can I charge a Buyer's Premium?
Yes! You can choose to charge a Buyer's Premium on your auctions, and you keep 100% of it. BidRush does not take a cut from the Buyer's Premium unlike other auction platforms. Learn How
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed through your connected Stripe account and deposited directly from Stripe to your bank account typically seven days after your auction closes. Other auction companies take two weeks or more after auction pickup, and deduct catalog change fees, buyer refunds (in the event of missed buyer pickup) and other charges. With BidRush, you are in control over any refunds and payout is swift through Stripe.
Do seller fees change if there refunds are issued by seller?
No. When an auction closes, a significant amount of work has already been completed by the platform. The system has hosted the auction, handled bidder traffic, processed bids in real time, notified bidders, generated invoices, managed payment processing, and recorded the transaction. Those platform services occur regardless of whether the item is ultimately kept by the buyer or later refunded. Refunds are typically related to issues such as item condition, pickup logistics, or seller decisions to refund after the sale. While BidRush gives sellers flexibility to resolve those situations directly with buyers, the platform infrastructure and marketplace exposure that produced the sale have already been delivered.
What if the buyer payment doesn't go through?
With 10s of 1000s of transactions processed, unpaids are in the single digits - and often sorted out before pickup. Bidders who do not pay are banned so they pay up to keep their bidding privileges. An email reminder is sent, and a banner appears in the bidder profile reminding them to pay. In the event that they don't pay prior to pickup you can contact the buyer to arrange an alternate payment method or collect payment during pickup.
Do I need to ship items?
BidRush is built for local pickup. However, as a seller you can specify lots eligible for shipping, with related terms and conditions. See Example

Bidder Pricing FAQs

What happens if I don't pickup the item?
If you don't pick up your item during the scheduled time, it may be considered abandoned and could be resold, donated, or disposed of at the seller's discretion. You are still responsible for any related fees, including the winning bid. Some sellers may offer shipping, but this must be arranged directly with them—BidRush is not responsible for shipping or any damage in transit. Ownership and risk of loss transfer to you once payment is received, even if the item is not picked up. Always contact the seller (details in your invoice) if you need to make alternate arrangements.
What is a Buyer's Premium?
A Buyer's Premium is an optional fee set by the seller, typically as a percentage of the winning bid. If applied, it will be added to the final price and is shown clearly on each auction page.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. BidRush is fully transparent. Any applicable Buyer's Premium and taxes are shown before you place a bid—no hidden platform or surprise fees.
How do I pay for my winning bid?
After the auction closes, you'll receive an invoice with a full breakdown of the amount due. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, using the payment method in your account.
Can I change my bid after submitting it?
No. Once submitted, bids are final and binding. Please double-check your bid amount before confirming.
What currency are the prices listed in?
Prices are listed in the local currency of the auction, as shown in the auction details. If you're bidding from another region, your bank or credit card provider may apply a currency conversion.
Is tax included in the final price?
Taxes are decided by the seller according to their business status and auction location. Taxes are not included in the bid amount and will be calculated and added to your invoice based on the location of the auction and applicable tax laws.
What if I don't pay for my winning bid?
Non-payment may result in account suspension, loss of bidding privileges, and potential legal consequences. Only place bids if you are prepared to complete the purchase.
What is a Max Bid, and why was I outbid automatically?
When you place a Max Bid, you're telling the system the maximum amount you're willing to pay. BidRush's platform will then automatically bid on your behalf, just enough to keep you in the lead, up to your maximum. If another bidder has already placed a higher Max Bid, you may be immediately outbid—even if your bid was higher than the current price. You'll only be charged the minimum needed to win, not your full Max Bid (unless required).
How does pickup work after I win an auction?
Each auction includes details about the pickup location and time. After winning, you'll receive an invoice that includes pickup instructions. It's your responsibility to collect your items within the stated window, so please review the auction terms carefully before bidding.
Why isn't the pickup address shown before bidding?
To protect seller privacy, some auctions don't display the full pickup address until the auction ends. If you're the winning bidder, the address will be included in your invoice or follow-up email. You'll still see the general area (e.g., city or postal code) in advance to help you decide whether you're comfortable bidding.
