Description

Offered for auction is a solid, antique round pedestal dining table crafted from beautifully figured quarter-sawn tiger oak wood, measuring 48 inches in diameter. This lot includes the split-top table surface, the underlying wooden support slides, and the heavy-duty square pedestal column base featuring a platform bottom and elegant scrolled feet. The tabletop exhibits prominent, high-quality medullary ray wood grain patterns characteristic of premium quarter-sawn lumber from the Arts & Crafts / Mission era. The underside of the tabletop retains historical handwritten grease pencil markings ("MC 3/3" and "48"). The pedestal column includes its integrated mechanical locking and crank mechanism on the upper mounting plates, designed to separate and secure the table when expanding. Condition Notes: This set is being sold as a restoration-ready project piece. The wood surfaces show signs of wear, surface scratches, and finish aging consistent with true antique age. Please note that the table is missing its extension leaves. Ideal for furniture restorers, antique dealers, or DIY woodworkers looking to complete or repurpose a classic period piece. Please review all gallery photos carefully to evaluate the condition and configuration of the mounting components.
