He worked extensively during the late nineteenth-century revival period of highly decorated, classical "Royal Vienna style" portrait and allegorical porcelain.Since he was born in 1876, he would have completed highly skilled works like this "Amore & Spring" scene as a trained master decorator starting in his late teens and early twenties, pinning the creation of this antique piece squarely around 1900.
