These are souvenirs from 100+ years ago that they made in the Geneva area of Switzerland. It holds two ink wells or an ink well in a place for clips or nibs. Somewhere as you would expect from being 100+ years old. another find from my basement. I never got around to using. This particular location carved on the box is an Alps Peak overlooking Lake Geneva and Switzerland
