The Downsizing Doula

A bamboo and rattan cabinet featuring woven wicker panels on the door and sides. Measures 21” x 15” x 31”. Tiger bamboo cabinets are highly sought-after storage pieces prized for their distinctive "scorched" or tortoiseshell appearance, which is achieved by traditionally applying heat to natural bamboo canes to create rich, dark accent stripes. These pieces prominently emerged during the late 19th-century Aesthetic Movement and Victorian era, and they remain incredibly popular for adding an organic, eclectic texture to British Colonial, Chinoiserie, or Bohemian-style interiors. I've seen these selling for over $1500.
