Deerfield Lane

This lot consists of a square fused glass plate with a pronounced iridescent (dichroic-style) surface and a hand-blown cobalt blue glass vase. The plate is heavy and flat with softly rounded corners and a recessed circular well in the center, giving it a clean modernist presentation that works equally well as a small serving dish, trinket tray, or decorative accent. The surface shows strong color shift from deep sapphire to teal and gold depending on light angle, characteristic of dichroic-coated or iridescent fused glass. The accompanying vase is a free-form, hand-blown example in rich cobalt blue with a gently rounded body and narrow, slightly flared neck. The glass shows natural studio-made variations and subtle internal movement in the color, rather than uniform factory production. Together, the two pieces present well as a contemporary art glass pairing suitable for modern, coastal, or gallery-style interiors. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
