Description

The feature photo is the firing of a depth charge from the USS McCall. The McCall was part of the Chase group from Pearl Harbor to try to catch the Japanese after the attack. It had been en route with other ships, including the Carrier enterprise to Pearl Harbor on the day of the attack. It served throughout the war, including Guadalcanal and was struck for scrap after World War II. On the reverse of the construction paper or other Navy photos that probably belong to the same sailor as well as someone hunting rabbits with a very tired dog.
