The Downsizing Doula

The first photo is a sculpture by Juan Chaez, late 18th century, depicting a woman in labor with her torso open to show the positioning of the fetus within the womb. Often sculptures like this were made out of wax and used in medical schools. A similar image was used as the album cover pf a self titled release by the Norwegian metal band, Orcustus. Frame is 19" x 15". What I found, and it may be incorrect, that this image was from a 1927 German science fiction movie, Metropolis, featuring woman with apple, is 14 inches tall, 11 wide.
