This looks to be a protest of some pre-sanctioning the death of a child and perhaps Vietnam. It is very odd and not what he typically painted as a World War II vet, but it certainly captures one attention as artist supposed to. The frame is Dant up a bit, but it’s a haunting painting, and given these came from his estate. Looks like one that he had hung in his house.
