This hand-blown art glass egg features an intricate internal lattice and ribbon design in soft lavender purple, clear crystal, and deep cranberry red. Fine twisted filigree and crossed lattice canes run vertically around the entire form, meeting in a tight, symmetrical starburst at both the top and base. This technique is known as latticino and is a Murano style lampwork glass technique. The glass is well balanced and nicely polished, with strong clarity that allows the complex internal construction to be fully visible. The egg form is evenly shaped and professionally finished, making this an attractive decorative paperweight or collectible studio art glass object. A beautifully executed contemporary studio glass piece, ideal for collectors of lattice, latticino, and ribbon-core glass. it is markedly similar to Ed Langbein, a Murano artist of some renown. It is not signed however so attribution can not be confirmed. Maker is unmarked but believed to be Murano glass from Italy. ✅ Condition: Very good pre-owned condition. Light surface wear and minor base contact marks consistent with display and handling.
