An assortment of rocks, mineral and stone samples, lapidary and cabbing tools, carving tools, polishing compounds, sheet wax boxes, abrasive materials, small glass bottles containing Eureka polishing powder, a geology book, stone slabs, and related rock polishing accessories. 6 Vintage Eureka Diamantine No. 1 polishing powder in its original miniature glass bottle with paper label and cork stopper. Found one of these on eBay selling for $30 and here is more info: Made in Switzerland and labeled in French “pour polir l’acier,” meaning “for polishing steel.” Diamantine is a very fine abrasive traditionally used by watchmakers, clockmakers, jewelers, and precision machinists for polishing steel components, pivots, tools, and other small parts. Bottle measures approximately 2 3/4 inches tall. It contains an unknown amount of white powder. The contents have not been tested or authenticated and are being sold primarily as a vintage watchmaker collectible. The bottle shows age-related wear, residue, discoloration, and surface marks. The original paper label has staining, fading, edge wear, and some lifting or loss. Cork is present but its sealing condition is unknown. Please review all photographs carefully. Due to the age and unknown condition of the contents, no guarantee is made regarding usability, purity, or performance.
