This is a large and substantial piece of architectural salvage carved from solid wood, measuring approximately 18 inches in length (just under a foot and a half). The form is a traditional decorative scroll corbel / bracket, featuring a pronounced volute at the base and layered, stepped carving rising to a rounded upper return. The profile and carving style are consistent with late 19th to early 20th century architectural trim used on porches, entry canopies, bay windows, and cornice lines on period residential and commercial buildings. The surface retains its original painted finish, now heavily weathered, with deep alligatoring, surface checking, and exposed wood in areas of wear. The patina is entirely consistent with long-term exterior or semi-exterior architectural use. This is a visually strong, dimensional example of reclaimed architectural wood and works equally well for: historic restoration projects wall-mounted decorative display shelf or mantle support in design installations architectural accent in retail, hospitality, or residential interiors No maker’s marks, stamps, or identifying labels are present. Condition Measures approximately 18 inches in length Original painted surface with extensive cracking, checking, and surface loss Heavy age patina and weathering consistent with architectural exposure Scattered paint loss and small chips throughout Minor edge and corner losses visible No visible structural breaks Wood appears solid and stable No mounting hardware included No visible modern repairs observed architectural salvage, antique wood corbel, carved wood bracket, scroll corbel, volute bracket, Victorian architectural trim, reclaimed wood corbel, decorative wood support, antique building salvage, exterior trim bracket, porch bracket, classical wood bracket, reclaimed architectural element, rustic architectural decor
