Up for auction is a highly collectible lot of three vintage 1970s Cal Custom "Super Flake" Metal Flaking Kits, complete with original boxes and classic 3-step aerosol cans featuring "Diamond Dust Sparkle!". Cal Custom was a staple of the golden era of muscle cars, hot rods, and custom chopper build cultures. Kits Included in This Lot: • Red Kit: Contains 1 Red Base Coat aerosol can. • Tangerine Kit: Contains 3 Tangerine Metal Flakes (Step 2) aerosol cans. • Lime Gold Kit: Contains a full 3-step set: 1 Lime Gold Base Coat (Step 1), 1 Lime Gold Metal Flakes (Step 2), and 1 Clear Top Coat Extra Thick (Step 3). Condition Notes: • Exterior: The original cardboard packaging features iconic vintage chopper/motorcycle illustrations and bright typography. The boxes show some shelf wear, folds, and minor tearing consistent with their age, but they remain intact and present exceptionally well for garage display or memorabilia collections. • Aerosol Contents: Cans feature their original paper labels. Due to the vintage nature of these items (dating back roughly 50 years), the paint is being sold strictly as-is for collectible, historical, and display purposes. Pressure stability, nozzle functionality, and paint viability cannot be guaranteed for functional use. An amazing addition to any vintage speed shop memorabilia collection, hot rod garage, or motorcycle restoration display!
