magnificent estate collection of four (4) original, hand-blown studio art glass pieces by the legendary Canadian glass artisan, Edward Roman (1941–2020). Fondly celebrated as the "Grandfather of Canadian Glassblowers," Roman was a pioneering powerhouse of the Canadian studio glass movement, operating out of his historic Windy Ridge Studios in Ontario. This beautifully curated 4-piece lot showcases the incredible breadth of Roman's organic, master-level craftsmanship: • Ruby Red Large Squat Vase (Back): Rich vibrant crimson tones, deep reflective depth, and a clean polished rim. Stands approximately 5 1/4” tall • Abstract Marbled Orb Vase (Front Center): Showcases sophisticated, swirling fluid inclusions with soft earth and pastel tones. Stands approximately 3 3/4” tall. • Multi-Colored Striped Bud Vase (Left): Elegant pulled-feather design, flared neck, and striking vertical color ribbons. Stands approximately 4” tall. • Wave-Patterned Squat Vase (Right): Decorated with intricate, combed undulating lines over a textured neutral backdrop. Stands approximately 3.5”tall. PROVENANCE & MARKINGS: Every single piece in this lot is authentic and features Edward Roman's distinct hand-engraved signature etched onto the underside base near the polished pontil mark. CONDITION: All four pieces are in exceptional vintage condition. The glass clarity is bright, colors remain brilliantly vibrant, and there are no structural cracks, deep chips, or notable repairs. As with all genuine vintage art glass, expect minor, natural shelf wear on the bottom bases.
