This striking pair of hand-thrown stoneware candlesticks features a vibrant, high-gloss cobalt blue "Ruskin style" glaze that transitions into a natural, speckled unglaze at the flared base. The underside of one piece clearly shows the impressed "GBP" maker's mark within a rectangular stamp, identifying it as an early production from this studio. Artist/Studio: Gleason Brook Pottery was started in 1998 by artist Timothy Smith in Ontario, Canada. Condition: The candlesticks are in excellent vintage condition. The glaze is smooth and bright with no visible chips or cracks. As with all hand-thrown pottery, minor organic variations in the form and glaze are expected and serve as signs of authenticity.
