Up for auction is a unique piece of Canadian aviation memorabilia: a 3D laser-engraved crystal paperweight/trophy commemorating the Canadian Aviation Historical Society (CAHS) Convention held on May 23–25, 2007. The convention took place at the historic Toronto Aerospace Museum at Downsview Park—proudly known as the "Birthplace of the Beaver." • Stunning 3D Detail: Features a highly detailed, laser-etched 3D model of the iconic de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver bush plane suspended inside the crystal block. • Inscriptions: • Features a polished brass plate affixed to the top reading: CAHS CONVENTION / MAY 23-25, 2007. • Frosted laser-etched text near the lower front face reads: TORONTO AEROSPACE MUSEUM / Birthplace of the Beaver. • Additional historical event details are elegantly laser-etched along the top facets. • Dimensions: Measures approximately 3 inches wide by 2 inches deep, making it an excellent display piece for a desk, bookshelf, or aviation collection display case. • Condition: Excellent vintage condition with crisp, clear glass, highly defined internal etching, and clean, legible text. No major chips or cracks. (Please see photos for full visual details and measurements against the tape measure). Perfect for collectors of de Havilland aircraft history, Canadian aviation enthusiasts, or CAHS members looking for a rare convention keepsake.
