Offered here is an authentic vintage Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen, one of the most iconic luxury writing instruments ever produced. Crafted in black precious resin with gold-plated trim, this oversized executive model features the signature white Montblanc emblem at the cap top and triple gold cap bands engraved “Montblanc Meisterstück No. 149.” Please note: Lot 115 is an almost new bottle of Montblanc ink in the original box. The pen is fitted with a 14K gold nib, intricately engraved with Montblanc’s hallmark scrollwork and “4810,” referencing the height of Mont Blanc in meters. The 149 model is Montblanc’s flagship piston-fill fountain pen, prized for its substantial size, balanced weight, and smooth writing performance. The clear ink window is visible in the barrel, consistent with the piston filling system. The Meisterstück 149 has long been associated with diplomats, executives, authors, and collectors. CONDITION: The pen presents in very good pre-owned condition. The black resin body retains strong gloss with light surface wear consistent with careful use and age. The piston mechanism condition cannot be fully verified without inking, though the ink window appears clear. The presentation box shows interior staining and light wear from storage.
