Description

The watch shown is a vintage Seiko Sportsmatic Calendar 820, an automatic men's watch produced in the 1960s. This model is notable as a transitional watch that led to the development of the popular Seiko 5 series. Key Features and Details Movement: It features the automatic Caliber 7625A movement with 17 jewels and Seiko's "Magic Lever" winding system. It cannot be manually wound. Functionality: The watch has a date complication at the 3 o'clock position, which uses a semi-quickset function (moving the hands back and forth between 9 PM and 12 PM to change the date). Design: The watch typically has a case size of around 36-37mm and features a recessed crown at the 4 o'clock position to emphasize its automatic winding nature. The case in the image appears to be gold-plated, and it is paired with a two-tone (gold and silver) metal bracelet, which may be an aftermarket addition (many original models came with leather straps) Working. Crystal should be relaced. (Terry)
