Aurelian Vase 12.5 inches tall, An Aurelian vase most commonly refers to highly collectible antique art pottery from one of two famous historic manufacturers active around the turn of the 20th century: Weller Pottery in the United States or James Macintyre & Co. (designed by William Moorcroft) in England.Weller Pottery "Aurelian" (USA)Introduced around 1898 by Weller Pottery in Zanesville, Ohio, this line is a staple of American Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts pottery.Aesthetic: Features a dark, rich standard glaze—typically deep earth tones, browns, and dark yellows.Decoration: Hand-painted with organic motifs like leaves, berries, and flowers (such as pansies or wild roses). It is distinguished from Weller's similar "Louwelsa" line by its distinctive brushed-on background streaking rather than a smooth, sprayed gradient. Murano Glass piece has a tiny chip, see pics. It's the shape of this bowl that makes it truly unique, with attached glass candle holders.
