Up for bid is a rare, vintage Carl Goldberg Models "Skylane" 1/2A Semi-Scale Cessna flying model kit no. G23-595. Known as one of the true classics in R/C and free-flight modeling, this kit features the iconic orange and white Carl Goldberg packaging. It is designed for single-channel R/C (escapement, servo, or pulse) or traditional free flight. Specifications: Wingspan: 42" Length: 35" Wing Area: 244 sq. in. Weight: 22 oz. For .049 engines This is a vintage, pre-owned item. Contents are shown in the photos. Please note that while the kit appears remarkably complete, we are not experts in vintage RC models. The kit is being sold as-found, so please review the photos carefully to judge the completeness for yourself. Box Top: Shows some age-related toning/browning and light staining (primarily a small spot on the lower left face of the box art). Graphics and text remain bright and highly legible. Box Side: There is a distinct, clean structural tear/split through the cardboard on the side panel across the text "the best in..." (visible in detail photos). The cardboard is fully separated at this point but could be carefully stabilized from the inside by the buyer if desired. Overall Storage Wear: Minor scuffing, edge wear, and softening of the box corners as expected for an authentic piece of modeling history.
