A pair of vintage Italian wood inlay marquetry panels, 19” tall, 5.5” wide, often referred to as "Sorrento ware". These plaques feature hobo clown musicians and are attributed to the artist Attardi Sorrento.The panels are crafted using the marquetry technique, where different types of wood veneers are inlaid to create the image. They typically date from the 1960s or 1970s. The plaques often depict various clown figures, these two with musical instruments horn and mandolin.
