Clutter Relief Services

Japanese Kutani porcelain statue depicting Jurōjin, the God of Longevity (and wisdom), one of Japan's Seven Gods of Fortune (Shichifukujin). The 19-inch high sculpture features a signature matte-finished unglazed face with a prominent long white beard, contrasted against an intricately hand-painted underglaze cobalt blue and white robe. He is holding a wooden-textured staff in one hand and a scroll in the other. Many of these specific large-scale statues were produced by the Hachiei (Hachiyou) kiln or marked with a Kutani workshop stamp on the underside.
