Adams & Co. Legacy and Estate Services

Up for auction is a premium, curated lot of authentic mid-century office, desk, and utility items perfect for collectors, vintage tech enthusiasts, or antique prop styling. Headlining this lot is a classic piece of Canadian industrial history: a green steel index card storage box manufactured by Grand & Toy Limited (Toronto, Ontario), complete with its original gold-and-red oval metal manufacturer's badge cleanly affixed inside the lid. This heavy-gauge steel desktop box features a durable olive-drab baked enamel finish, an original brass-plated top carrying handle, and a matching front flip-latch. The box comes fully loaded with a clean stack of vintage lined index cards and alpha organizational dividers. Alongside the card box, this multi-item estate lot includes a collection of rare, highly collectible mid-century desk tools: • Universal Circle Metric Converter: A vintage 1970s black cylindrical rotating slider-rule desk calculator featuring precision white scales for quick conversion between yards, meters, centimeters, and inches. • Swingline Staple X-Tractor: An authentic, heavy-duty vintage desktop staple remover finished in a retro black and polished brass styling. • Two Vintage Letter Openers: Includes one classic slim-profile letter opener featuring a dark grained wood handle, and a unique secondary folding multi-tool combination letter opener and pocket blade set. • Bonus Measuring Tape: A vintage yellow contractor's tape measure is included to complete the industrial aesthetic. Condition: All items are in good, authentic vintage condition, displaying a beautiful natural patina. The exterior of the metal card box shows minor, age-appropriate surface scuffs and light finish wear on the top lid that highlights its mid-century history. The brass hardware is fully intact, and all mechanical hinges and latches on the box and tools operate smoothly. The interiors and the Grand & Toy label are remarkably clean and well-preserved.
