BidRush November Updates

We've made hundreds of updates in the two months since launching BidRush—thanks to all the sellers and buyers who have sent suggestions. (We even mention you by name when we summarize updates. Keep them coming!)

This month’s two major releases are:

1. BidRush Seller Apple App 1.0 🎉

Our first version of the Seller App is now live and being tested in production.

A few important notes for smooth use:

  • Use “Save Image to Phone” as a backup.
  • Make sure to auto-sync (or manually sync) so your lots move into your auction build.

To use the app, these steps have to be done on BidRush.com first (i.e. you can't do these steps directly on the app)

  1. Create a login
  2. Create your Store
  3. Create an Auction
  4. Invite your team members (if you have a team)

You can now photograph catalog on the app into that auction! We are working on offline mode next, as well as the Android version.

2. Shipping Options for Sellers

Sellers can now offer Shipping, Pickup, or both during auction setup. You choose which lots are eligible for shipping. During bidding, if a buyer selects Shipping, they’ll be prompted to enter their address the first time. After the auction closes, all lots marked for shipping will appear in a dedicated view so you can group items and charge the bidder’s card on file.

Already Done for Sellers

  • Ability to create auction titles for internal use (thanks to Jenna for this suggestion)
  • Preview Auction while it's being setup (so that it's easy to share with your end-clients)
  • When picking auction images for the auction page pictures are shown by lot number (thanks to Jess Oman for this suggestion)
  • Options to Skip auto-increment, or use Auto Generate (thanks to Jenna for this suggestion)
  • Auto Generate increments Lot Number based on user (eg. if one user is on lot 200, next lot after 'Save and Next' will be 201, and if another user is in lot 6, next lot will be 7 after 'Save and Next' - this allows multiple catalogers)
  • Pickup Report and exports have phone number fields (thanks to Linda for this suggestion)
  • Client Billing and Refunds page (which shows Paid/Unpaid Status) has $, # of lots and phone numbers (thanks to Cynthia for this suggestion)
  • Scroll to Lot Number created after hitting "Save and Close" (thanks to Al Kemp for this suggestion)
  • Delete Empty Lots if user hits save and close without adding info (thanks to Neil for this suggestion)
  • Flexibility on what to show as Address to Bidder (eg. include an intersection to show; show the full address to the winners; thanks to Al Kemp for this suggestion)
  • Fixed a minor bug where copy/paste into lot titles/descriptions wasn't saving (thanks to Jenna and Jess for finding this bug)
  • Sellers can download individual PDFs of the invoice (helpful for the shipping feature)

Already Done for Buyers

  • Login and Register buttons prominent on desktop (on the menu on mobile)
  • Bidders with tax exemption can upload their tax exemption certificate so they are not charged taxes (thanks to Jason Suderman for this suggestion)
  • Clearer view of the pickup times (in orange) (thanks to Scott for this suggestion)
  • Time Zone displayed for pickup for those bidding across different time zones (thank you to Lisa for this suggestion)
  • Integrated Shipping features (when made available by the seller)

Already Done for Buyers and Sellers

  • If Bidder hasn't paid, there will be a banner which says Invoices Outstanding to make it easier for bidder to pay
  • Social posts show the ending time of the auction in the auction timezone (thank you to Linda Chu for this suggestion)

August 2025:

August launch was all about speed and simplicity on BidRush — from faster cataloging tools like “Save and Next” and split-lot creation, to global item search and smoother navigation for bidders. Sellers gained smarter QR downloads and invoice notes, while buyers enjoyed quick-access watchlists, share buttons, and next/previous navigation. Read the full August update →

September 2025:

In September, BidRush rolled out major mobile and usability improvements. Sellers can now catalog directly from their phones with larger photo previews, custom pickup reports, and pre-publish confirmations. Buyers saw rounded bid increments, clearer “won/outbid” highlights, and smoother staggered closings. Shipping features and the mobile bidding app are now in development. October 2025:

October brought huge performance gains and a cleaner browsing experience, plus new tools inspired by our first Boston-area auction. Bidders can now view all auctions across the platform, place bids from watchlists, and upload tax info for exemption, while sellers gained role management, enhanced stats, and faster cataloging — especially on tablets.
