The 2000 Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) Proof Set—commonly referred to as the "Voyage of Discovery" set—includes 8 coins: the 1-cent, 5-cent, 10-cent, 25-cent, 50-cent, $1 Loonie, $2 Toonie, and a special $1 Voyageur Silver Dollar. It was struck in 92.5% sterling silver (except for the bronze 1-cent and brass $1 Loonie) and features a mintage of 90,921 Over time, these silver coins may naturally develop light toning, which is typical for sterling silver and does not reduce their numismatic value.
