The first paperweight appears to be the work of Rollin Karg, an American artist known for his "Karg Art Glass" pieces. These sculptures typically feature internal "controlled bubbles," shimmery swirls, and vibrant colors like cobalt blue and white, encased in clear glass using the sommerso technique. The second one is an early piece of Canadian studio glass from Skookum Art Glass, the first studio founded by renowned glass artist Robert Held.The Skookum Studio (1978–1987)Robert Held, often considered a pioneer of Canadian art glass, opened Skookum Art Glass Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, in 1978. The studio operated under this name until 1987, when Held relocated to Vancouver and rebranded the studio as Robert Held Art Glass. The blue glass with white spiral swirls or pulled feather patterns is a hallmark of Held's early work. The third one is a "World Style" paperweight created by the Canadian glass artist Toan Klein. (Canadian, born 1949).Style: His "World" or "Planet" style paperweights are known for their intricate internal designs that resemble imaginary landscapes, often featuring continents, swirling blue oceans, and cloud-like textures. The last blue one is Demaine Studio.Artist: Marty Demaine. The studio was established in the early 1970s by Marty Demaine near Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.Historical Significance: It was the first one-man glass studio in Canada and played a significant role in the international studio glass movement. 4 in total
