Up for auction is a matching set of four (4) rustic mid-century (1950's/1960's) wooden folding chairs. Featuring classic clean lines, these chairs are constructed with sturdy solid hardwood frames and contoured bent seats and backrests. Style & Design: While these chairs are unattributed (no visible maker's mark), they are very similar to Stakmore chairs in that they feature a high-quality, solid hardwood frame, beautifully contoured bent seats and backrests, and a clever folding mechanism that allows them to nest tightly for compact storage. They offer that classic, sturdy mid-century modern look without sacrificing functionality. Cosmetics: Shows beautiful, honest wear consistent with age and use, including localized finish thinning, minor surface scuffs, and natural color variation/shading along the edges of the seats. (as pictured). Structure: Solid wood frames; all rivets and hinges are intact and secure. One chair shows more pronounced finish wear on the seat surface than the others, adding to its vintage charm. Dimensions: Chairs are 17" across and seat is 16" deep. Standard adult folding chair height and footprint.
